The following game, played by Mr. Paul Morphy against Mr. F. Perrin, has been sent to us for publication by the latter gentleman who states that it has never before appeared in print, and that it was the second game played by the youthful master in New York, in 1857, after his arrival for the purpose of entering in the tournament of the First American Congress which laid the foundation for his fame. The game was abandoned as drawn by mutual consent. We believe that White has the best of the game, on account of his impregnable chain of pawns on the Kingside and in the center, but it would have been very difficult to win in actual play, especially against such a formidable opponent.
